Tournament Information

 

All local teams (Tucson and outlying areas) must be available for evening games on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025.

On Friday, April 4th, games will begin at 5:00 pm.  All AZ teams must be available for Friday evening games.  Out-of-state teams may be exempt from  Friday evening games with written approval from the Tournament Director.

CDO Challenge Cup

April 3 - 6, 2025

We invite you to join us for the  

CDO Challenge Cup April 3-6, 2025  at Kino Sports Complex.

This annual tournament brings together teams from all over the state of Arizona and the Southwest region for an outstanding weekend of soccer and fun in beautiful, sunny Tucson, Arizona. The Challenge Cup hosts U7 - U19 teams and offers a 3-game minimum.

Tournament Fees

Please note that a $20 GotSport Software Fee will also automatically be charged at registration.

No refunds will be issued to any team after they have been accepted to participate in this tournament.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The CDO Challenge Cup is NOT a Stay-and-Play tournament.  However, we have partnered with TIG Sports to secure special rates for out-of-town teams. Teams are encouraged to select from one of our preferred hotels when traveling to Tucson for the CDO Challenge Cup.

Rooms must be booked before March 22, 2024. 


Pre-Tournament Check-In

All teams must provide player/coach credentials online by

Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

The following documents are required to be uploaded to your GotSport account. Players may not play without this documentation being turned in.

Please upload the following documents.

1. Current copies of all player passes/cards. These MUST be in alphabetical order by last name.  Please note that all player cards must be laminated and on a ring before check-in for the first game.  No exceptions.

2. Event Roster .  YOU MUST BRING A HARD COPY OF YOUR EVENT ROSTER TO YOUR FIRST GAME.  (How to build an Event Roster in GotSport)

3. Player Registration Attestation Form (DOWNLOAD FORM)

4. Team Contact Form (DOWNLOAD FORM)

5. Guest Player Loan Paperwork (If applicable). Players loaning within the same club do not need loan forms. Players loaning to a different club must have loan forms.

6. Travel Permission Papers (If required by your State Association)

7.  Mixed rosters will NOT be allowed. Teams can only check in using all US Club passes/roster or all USYSA Passes/Roster.

IMPORTANT: You must physically bring team player cards/passes and check in with the Field Marshal tent for your field before EACH game.    No handwritten additions may be made to game cards. You must also have in your possession at all times a medical release for each rostered player to have available for review upon request by tournament officials.

Awards

  • All athletes who compete will receive a CDO Challenge Cup Bag Pin.
  • Participation medals will be awarded to all players in  U7-U7 divisions
  • Placement medals will be awarded to all players on teams placing 1st or 2nd in U9 through U19.
  • A CDO Challenge Cup Trophy will be awarded to teams placing 1st in U9 through U19.

Please note carefully which field your team will be playing at.  

  • There are fields 11A, 11B, 12A & 12B located at Kino Main and fields 11 & 12 located at Kino South.
  • There are fields 1-4 located at Kino North and at Kino South.

Fields

All games will be played at Kino Sports Complex.

Please note that all tents must be weighted.  Sand bags/concrete blocks/water buckets are approved for use.   Nothing can be staked (including umbrellas).  

NO OVERNIGHT RV Parking is allowed.

WATER MISTERS  will be allowed inside Kino gates IF they are battery operated and teams provide their water.  No water is available on-site.

U.S. Soccer Federation Bylaw 603 [link]

Per this bylaw, on the tournament website, post the US Club Soccer sanctioned tournament logo as well as following verbiage: “This tournament is unrestricted. Teams registered in good standing with any U.S. Soccer Federation affiliate are eligible to apply.”
